OUTREACH PROGRAM

A Six Step Process

Easy to use lessons enable the user to take advantage of music’s ability to activate physiological and cognitive brain functions to self-manage their emotional lives. Topics covered are:

Focusing your attention at will
Staying in control of your emotional and physical well-being
Recognizing when peers are at risk

Feeling a sense of belonging is vital to a positive self-worth. For this we offer students the chance to participate in the concert by contributing images and singing with the orchestra.

CONCERT EVENT

An Experience Like No Other

Maestro Boardman has created a hybrid presentation utilizing a full length orchestral score, original story and film, and live actors. Audiences will be enthused with:

A sense of hope
An affirmation of how we are more similar than not
Reassured that they are not alone

Representatives from local support groups will be available on site as well as QR codes to enable mobile use.

"Let's Make An Impact"

"After spending nearly 5 decades in Hollywood and working with orchestras around the world I decided it was time for me to give back… to use my skills for the benefit of those, who like myself, suffer from PTSD. I created The Missing Link as a vehicle of hope… to inspire us… to remind us that we belong… to believe that IS a brighter future ahead.

I know that it’s hard to imagine this topic as creating a positive outcome…but what better tool than music to lead us forward?

We have the opportunity to help those who need the most help - our children by teaching them the value of having music in their lives. This is the thrust of the Outreach program.

I infused the score with every ounce of my decades of experience telling stories with music to take the audience on a journey into the lives of trauma sufferers and have them emerge with hope and optimism.

We have to start with the first step. For me that step is The Missing Link."
