The Missing Link is the brainchild of film composer/producer/educator and author Chris Boardman. Among his many accomplishments are an Academy Award nomination for “The Color Purple”, 6 Emmy Awards, 13 Emmy nominations, 2 University of Miami Graduate School “Mentor of the Year” nominations, ASCAP and BMI film awards and more.
His quest to eradicate the stigma of mental illness and provide a platform for children to get treatment is fueled by his personal experiences with PTSD. The story, his score, and his business experience serve as the foundation of The Missing Link project.

David Paul Kirkpatrick

David Paul Kirkpatrick is an American film producer, studio executive and writer. He is widely known for his career at Paramount Pictures where he started as a story editor, oversaw the studio’s exclusive development deal with Eddie Murphy and eventually became President of the Motion Picture Group.
In 2006, The New York Times called Kirkpatrick a “kingmaker” for his shepherding of Hollywood talent. Kirkpatrick was chief of production at two studios at the same time: Walt Disney Pictures and Touchstone Pictures.

Dr. Barbara Rothbaum

Barbara Rothbaum is a psychologist at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a professor in the Psychiatry department and a pioneer in the treatment of anxiety-related disorders.
Rothbaum is head of the Trauma and Anxiety Recovery Program (TARP) at Emory as well as the Emory Healthcare Veterans Program. In the mid-1990s she founded a virtual exposure therapy company called Virtually Better, Inc. This company treats patients with anxiety disorders, addictions, pain, and the like using virtual reality instead of the actual place or scenario. It also allows the therapist to control the environment. She also played a key role in the development of the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Rothbaum was president of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Her term spanned 2004 to 2005.
