Hand position and learning how to use each finger

  1. Keep wrists and forearms relaxed
  2. Rest all 5 fingers on the keyboard
  3. Lift one finger at a time starting with the thumb then each finger up the keyboard one note at a time. 
  4. Then reverse by starting with your pinky and working your way back down to your thumb.
  5. Switch to your left hand.
  6. Place your pinky on middle C and then play each note, with one finger at a time ending with your thumb.

    For extra credit: play the same figure with two hands one octave a part.
